System Requirements
Before starting to use Lightedium, please ensure your system meets the following requirements:
- Operating System: Windows 10 and above
- Recommended Configuration: Storage Space ≥500GB, Memory ≥8GB, Processor ≥Intel i5
- Minimum Configuration: Storage Space ≥10GB, Memory ≥2GB, Processor ≥Intel i3
Launching the Software
- Double-click the desktop shortcut or find Lightedium in the Start menu
- Wait for the application initialization to complete
First Configuration
Adding Photo Library
- Click the "Add Folder" button in the left navigation bar
- Select the folder path containing photos
- The software will automatically scan and index photos in the selected folder
- Wait for indexing to complete before use
Supported File Formats: JPEG, PNG, RAW and other common image formats
Interface Navigation
The Lightedium main interface is divided into the following areas:
- Left Navigation Bar: Contains menu button, add folder button, albums/timeline/map/tags/settings options, and tree view of added folders
- Right Work Area: Displays thumbnail list of images
- Top Search Bar: Provides comprehensive search and filter conditions
- Bottom Status Bar: Shows indexing progress, prompt messages, currently selected image, quick index button, language switch button, version information and feedback button
Basic Operations
Browsing Photos
- Select the folder to browse in the left folder tree
- The right work area will display all photo thumbnails in that folder
- Click any photo to view the large image
Using Search Functions
Lightedium provides multiple search methods:
- Semantic Search: Enter natural language descriptions, such as "sunset by the sea"
- Image-to-Image Search: Drag or upload images to find similar photos
- OCR Text Search: Search for text content within photos
- Combined Condition Filtering: Filter by combining time, location, people and other conditions
Creating Albums
- Select photos to add to an album
- Right-click and select "Add to Album"
- Choose "Create New Album" or select from existing albums
- Name the new album and confirm
Exporting Photos
- Select photos or albums to export
- Right-click menu and select "Export"
- Select export format (folder or ZIP format)
- Choose save location and confirm
Quick Operations
Right-Click Menu Functions
- Add Geotag: Manually correct location information for photos
- Add to Album: Quickly add photos to specified albums
- Find Similar Photos: Find similar content based on current photo
Privacy and Security
Lightedium uses local processing to ensure your privacy and security:
- Local AI Computing: All photo analysis and processing are completed on your device without uploading data
- Offline Mode: All core functions can still be used normally when completely disconnected from the internet
- Data Security: Your photos will never leave your device
