Chapter 13: Software Activation

13.1 Activation Entry

On first use, the software will display an activation dialog. Afterwards, it can be reopened via Sidebar Menu → Activate.

App Store (Microsoft Store) versions do not require activation; the entry is automatically hidden.

13.2 Desktop Edition Activation (Offline Activation)

The desktop edition only supports offline activation:

1. Open the activation dialog
2. Click "Copy Request Code" to obtain the local device request code
3. Send the request code to the software vendor
4. The vendor returns the corresponding activation code
5. Paste the activation code into the input box and click Activate
6. After verification passes, restart the software for the change to take effect

Update Activation Code

If activated software needs a new activation code (e.g., for renewal or license upgrade), click "Update Activation Code" in the activation dialog and enter the new activation code to complete the update.

Check for Updates

The activation dialog provides a "Check for Updates" feature to manually check if a new version is available.

13.3 Docker Edition Activation

Docker-deployed versions require an internet connection and support online activation:

1. Open the activation dialog
2. Enter the activation code
3. Click Activate; the system will verify online automatically

13.4 Viewing Activation Status

Sidebar Menu → Help → About, where you can view the current activation status and validity period.
